CGRMC's Grace is Honored; Came West after Katrina
June 27, 2012
Casa Grande resident John Grace was one of three Casa Grande Regional Medical Center volunteers to have been presented with the 2011 President’s Volunteer Service Award, the other two being Jacqui and Weymouth Fogelberg (profiled in a story two weeks ago).
Grace received his citation from President Barack Obama’s Council on Service and Civic Participation along with a thank you letter on White House stationery, signed by Obama.
Grace has been a volunteer at CGRMC for a little more than six years, and the former New Orleans resident has lived in Casa Grande since September 2005. He and his wife, Rita, moved to the area to escape the ravages of Hurricane Katrina.
