Union Pacific Gives to Six Area Organizations

Union Pacific Foundation has donated $33,000 to six area organizations.

They are: Against Abuse Inc., Boys & Girls Clubs of the Casa Grande Valley, Casa Grande Regional Medical Center Foundation, Casa Grande Valley Historical Society, Central Arizona College and the city of Casa Grande Arts and Humanities Commission.

The Arizona State Parks Foundation also received funding for its annual Civil War reenactment events.

The funding will be used in a variety of projects throughout the community, according to a press release.

The Historical Society plans to use its grant for an exhibit related to Casa Grande’s long history with the railroad. CAC is applying its grant to the Promise for the Future scholarship fund and the Arts and Humanities Commission plans to use its grant to continue funding school art projects.
