About Sleep Studies
Many people suffer from sleep disorders or difficulties. The rapidly growing field of sleep disorders medicine now includes thousands of professionals dedicated to research and clinical services. The Center for Sleep Disorders on the campus of Casa Grande Regional Medical Center offers consultation and laboratory services dedicated to diagnosis and treatment so people can recapture or relearn healthy sleep habits. This is done through sleep studies in four attractive and comfortable diagnostic bedrooms for our sleep disorders patients. During the studies, your body and brain activities are measured with small metal discs called electrodes, which are attached to your head and skin with an adhesive. Breathing is measured with flexible elastic belts around your chest and abdomen. Blood oxygen levels and heart rate are tracked with a clip, which fits, on your index finger or earlobe. This allows data to be gathered so effective recommendations for treatment can be made. If you have questions about the CGRMC Center for Sleep Disorders or the processes involved in our sleep studies, or if you would like to tour our facility, please call us at (520) 381-6423.
