Social Work
Social Work is an integral part of the comprehensive health care of all patients admitted to the medical center. Illness may be difficult for families, complicate existing problems or lead to new hardships. Social workers help patients and their families cope with the stress that accompanies illness and/or hospitalization. They can provide support, individual or group counseling, referrals to facilitate post-hospitalization planning and serve as a link between the hospital and various community agencies.
